  1. Version 811, build 257. Windows XP.
It makes it all the way thru the install and then just stops at 100% and says "Studio Setup is performing the requested operations". I have to ctrl/alt/del out and then get those errors: An remote error occured or something like that. And then I eject the disc and get and ipoint.exe no disk error.

I realize there are newer versions but this one worked fine for me on my previous XP machine for years. Never had a problem with it.
It tries to run, but stops and generates an error to send or not send.

And actually I just want to bring the video in and burn it from a camcorder. Not really into EDITING it that much. I can bring it in and edit in Windows MovieMaker, but it doesn't have a burn option.
    Any thoughts?

Burn it? You mean convert to a dvd-video and burn? You can export to dv-avi in wmm and then convert and burn it to a dvd with free software like dvd flick.
