Vado HD help

hay everyone. so, I have a creative vado hd, and me and my friends have been makeing a series, well, just started realy. but there have been a few problems.
the most predominant is that when you upload it to your computer for editing its all laggy. at first that just happend on my computer in the creative editing systm. well, now that I think back, I never tried to edit it on anything else. anyway, me and my friend have been trying to edit it, but beacuse of the lag its been frustrating. its not laggy on youtube, but we are afraid of makeing a mistake becuse of the lag, dose anyone know how to fix this
The other thing is Im gonna be tryign to shoot a bigger thing soon, and I wanted some filters on the camera. dose anyone know how to do that?

If it's laggy on your PC the question I would have to ask is, is it bogging down your PC's resources?

well, its not only my pc, but my friends to, so I dont think its that. I did unsafely remove the device a few times, though

If the video, when played on your PC, is laggy does this occur when using different video players, dvix & wmp? What is the file extention?
