  1. Got a 1 GB mpeg1 film. Need to cut it in two to burn on cd's. Used TMPGEnc – opened the film – cut/merge – set the time limits for the first part – named it Film1 – and hit run. Great – got one 500 mb file. Tried the same procedure with the rest of the film –*named it Film2 – and hit run – but nothing much happened. TMPGEnc keeps asking for – I am not sure what – the first film i think – or asks if I want to abort – anything except just saving my Film2 to disk. I am doing something wrong – BUT WHAT?

  2. oops – was not patient enough. if i just let my celeron notebook take its time – not desperatly pressing abort and trying again – the looking for mpeg turns into cutting. TMPGEnc did the job albeit a slow notebook and a user also being a bit on the slow side.
