    Hi,

I have got a Panasonic SDR-H20. I would like to burn the videos on a DVD. There are MOI, MOD files and a PGI file in the folder I have my videos in. I have changed the MOD-files to MPG-files and burned all the files (MOI, MPG and PGI) on a DVD to notice that there is no sound on my DVD-player when playing the videos, whereas the videos can be seen well. I have watched this DVD on a computer to notice that there is sound and video as well. This is why I would like to ask you why there is no sound when watching it on TV or better how I can solve my problem. Thank you very much for your help.

The Audio and Video of an Mpeg file sit at certain "channels" inside the Mpeg2 container. The technical term is PID.

You need to change the PID the audio is at to the PID that a DVD player expects to find during playback.

When you merely change the extension of an MOD file to MPG, you're not changing the PID where the audio lies.

I think running the file through VideoRedo Quickstreamfix should fix the issue

The other possibility is that you have a DVD player that doesn't play MP2 audio files
