Some how the quick launch bar has disappeared in win 7 64 bit. I can get the quick launch back on the taskbar but can't move it all the way over beside the start button which is where it should be. Anybody familiar with this?

  2. Try sliding it over the other side and then resize it by grabbing the right edge and dragging it back over the left. I've had that happen in XP when I accidently tried to drag it, but caught the edge instead and resized it backwards. I couldn't move it back next to the start button, after.

  3. Quick Launch bar in Win7?

You can pin stuff to the botton, but MS did away with the quick launch toolbar

  4. QuickLaunch was removed from use in favor of pinning shortcuts to the taskbar however it can re-enabled if a user wants to use it.

The directions including images can be found here: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/01/14/how-to-enable-or-disable-quick-launch-bar-too...-in-windows-7/

    hemlok,

Thanks for the reference--it works! I have tucked it away in case it's needed again in the future. I'll bet there are some others reading this that will do the same

    regards

My Windows 7 Ultimate x64 installation has several items in the quick launch bar, and all I did was click yes to, "add to quick launch" when installing programs

Quick launch not being part of Windows 7, or having to do anything special to access it is news to me???
