    Can someone please post an example of encoding MPEG2 CBR with Mencoder? Ive searched quite a bit and cannot find what I am looking for.

    I am copying the audio track (-oac copy) so all I need help with is the video. The intended target is DVD.

    The DVD format (-format option) generates a VBR MPEG2. I cant even find reference to VBR or CBR video in the Mencoder manual, maybe Im blind but I give up.

    OS is Win32.

    Sorry to seam anxious, but does anyone have any suggestion? I tried setting maxrate and minrate and vbitrate, but a buffsize was supposed to be set, which comes back with an error when I do, so Im still at a loss. I need to encode this file ASAP if anyone can help.
