Is there support on FFMPEG to convert avi/wmv to 3g2 files? Anyone heard of these files? I found them in my cellphone after recording video.

    Thanks,

3g2 is a container format much like 3gp. It can hold mpeg4, AVC based video formats.
Since it's not sure what video formats your cell-phone supports, first use MediaInfo to look at the contents of your cell-phone files.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3GP

FFmpeg supports encoding to 3g2 with almost any format supported for that container (except amr audio).

Any book or how-to manual for ffmpeg? How would someone put it all together to come up with the ffmpeg commands to do the conversion?

I don't know of a "how-to" manual, but here is a link to the official ffmpeg documentation: http://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-doc.html
I've used them as a reference to compile the commands. I admit, I'd like a more extensive explanation on some of them...
