  1. I would like to create a slide show on VCD from many jpg images that I have for my parents anniversary party.

I have checked out this site and am still unsure of the best solution.

I have a CDR drive on my computer. I only want to creat a basic slide show - nothing fancy - just something that goes from one picture to the next. I also don't want to spend alot of money.

Question one - Do you have to buy special CDs to make VCDs?

Question two - What additional software do I need to make the VCD and the slide show?

I think an excellent program to create slide shows from JPGs is Nero (http://www.nero.com). You just drop the jpgs into the window and burn the cd.

Of course, it will take a little studying and playing to get it going, but it's not too difficult.

If you want to add music, and things like that, then Nero by itself won't do it, I don't think. I'm using Adobe Premier to do that, but it's an expensive program if that's all you want to do.

    Good luck.
