Hi
Using Smartripper, DVD2AVI, and TMPGEnc to convert DVD to VCD 2.
Also created VCD 2 photo slideshows for this player using ULead DVD Picture Show.
The MPGs play perfectly on the PC (using InterVideo WinDVD 3.0 with a Ricoh MP9200A-DP CD-RW/DV).
However in the Goodmans GDVD124 the playback of these VCD's is corrupted and very blocky - particularly with scene changes and movement (despite setting Advanced TMPGEnc options to counteract this).
In a recent DVD conversion using TMPGEnc I used an Automatic VBR with settings of quality 90, max bitrate 2000 kbit/sec, min bitrate 6kbit/sec
These were the values as found in the textfile generated from the DVD by Smartripper.
Help! Why do the VCD's play perfectly on the PC, but choppy on the standalone GDVD124?
Thankx in advance
