  1. I have an AVI file wich i got from a friend,
the file was captured from TV with a TV card.

    apparently, the file is corruppted.
    here's its details:

when i'm trying to play it with BSPlayer the seeking doesnt work...
so i tried VLC but got the same result:

and still, VLC wont play it although i'm clickin "Yes"...

i loaded it at VirtualDub and got these warnings:

couldnt clearly understand those warnings, so i guessed it has something to do with the AVI header,
i saved the file with VDub (video and audio under "Direct stream copy") hoping it'll fix the AVI header...

i managed to play the resulted file but still couldnt seek it.

is there any chance to fix this file?
i'll rather do it without encoding it all from scratch.
the file quality is bad enough as it is...

    Any help much appreciated!
    Thanks in advanced!

  2. if vlc can't fix it, it's not likely anything else can, but you have the option of trying some of the programs in tools/video repair. <-- left column "tools"
