    Hi Everyone,

    I have a number of DVD's with AVI files on them. My computer cant even recognize half the disks in most cases...and in other cases can only read some of the files...coming up with CRC errors for the files that cant be read. I have tried reading them on 3 different systems...with 3 different OS's.

    I have also tried these disc in a player with will play the files directly....and voila...no issue.

    So...what are my options? Can anyone suggest anything that will allow me to read these files.

    This is the problem with crappy DVDrs (or damaged). They work fine on some systems but far from all and computers might be extra "picky".

    You could try something like isobuster and see if you can extract the files.
