I was in the middle of downloading a live stream and suddenly my PC's power went out and now I'm left with a "no ending" flv file and even the best MPC HC would only play the 1st 3 mins or so. VirtualDub, Avidemux and even GetFLV could not do anything to it. I know for sure the video is in there cause in the process of downloading, I copied/"make a duplicate while it was downloading) that file when it was at about 80MB (the complete file is about 150MB) and I could view the video. I don't care about the audio part....I think somehow this file is missing all the start/end/bit/frame rates etc.....how can I get this file to play? or how best to try to recover this file?

    Thanks in advance

Try free Applian FLVPlayer. Sometimes flv files get downloaded without proper header. I had such a file marked on youtube as 'embedding disabled by user request'. Nothing on my system could play that file or identify its properties. That player managed to play it.
