  2. Yes you can do this, but the quality won't be what you'd want to call "stupendous".

Extract the AVSEQ01.MPG file from each SVCD (if you dont already have them separated). Name them in order

    AVSEQ01.MPG
    AVSEQ02.MPG
    AVSEQ03.MPG
    AVSEQ04.MPG

Open DVD2AVI, File->Open (All Files), and click on AVSEQ01.MPG

Then let it load them all.

Set it to demux the mpeg2 audio, and check to see if you need to set Forced Film (usually the case, unless it was a capture).

    Save the project.

Use winamp to convert the MPEG Audio file to .wav format, then encode to VCD however you see fit.

    Hope this helps.

  3. What program did you use to extract the mpg files off of the CD?

  4. That's amazing, I too have a movie in 4 files about a little gold ring.
I wonder if it could be the same one?

I converted my files to dvd format using TMPGEnc and that used SPRUCEUP to author and burned to DVD-R.

    Awesome picture, great movie.

you could use TMPGEnc to convert the mpg2 files too vcd compliant mpg1 using the supplied template with TMPGEnc. I have used this method several times to convert my SVCD movies to VCd, this way you can re-encode the video & audio at the same time.
