I got a Sanyo DP-37647 hdtv setup to watch media from my computer from dvi to hdmi with audio connected to the video card thru spdif and the audio from my hdtv co-axial is fed to my 5.1 sherwood receiver.
What i like to know is if the audio out from the tv passed straight to the receiver or re-processed through another audio amplifier.

Just an update for those curious i decided to wire my blu-ray directly to the sherwood receiver via co-axial cable and retest and found that in doing this it indicated digital source on the sherwood and sounded more ambient.
Thing is i did a comparison a few months ago and it sounded the same, seems like the last update on the sony 350 fixed a few issues including video and audio quirks,so i conclude now that the audio signal is altered going thru the tv co-axial output.I think, therefore i am a hamster.
