This is my first time using this program.
I'm trying to reduce the file size of a ripped VOB (Movie extra).
My source DVD is NTSC.
After the conversion the new file has colored artifacts in the picture.
It dosen't seem to matter what I set the bitrate at, or wether I use "match source" or "Progressive".
I've also tried reference DCT, but it dosn't help.
Any clues?

You are getting little colored dots like this: http://web.tampabay.rr.com/jukens/that_is_one_of_the_red_dots_i_am.htm, if so I am getting the same problem and would also like to know how to get rid of this.

Not quite.
Mine are bigger and multicolored, not just red.
It's obviously some kind of encoding problem.
I wonder if there a forum out there dealing with this program?
