lost audio after effects vers 6

Hello too all on line.

I have lost all the audio function in AE 6 pro,

Previously it worked fine but now when i import a wav file and drag it down to the time line it can not be played,all options are checked ie;audio on in time line .these files have worked before and still work with other apps.

Incidentally there is no wav form only a pair of paralell lines

Today I created a AVI file in windows movie maker with a sound file incorperated (WAV) and it played the sound track fine.

Deleted Perfs for AE 6 pro from(docs and settings/appdata/adobe/ae/prefs)

This didnot help I also restored to default settings.

Any advice to resolve this problem would be appreaciated.

Did you try uninstalling/reinstalling ? Perhaps your install got corrupted?

Hello,
Problem solved.Some how the default settings for video out put had changed to ntsc so now back to pal and it works fine again.
