Photos on cd-r and want to convert to dvd format ? Nero vers 6.6.0.18???

I am new to digital cameras and formats. I have my photos on cd-r and want to do a tv viewable via my dvd player of a Slide Show?
I thought Nero could do it , however it seems my version 6 may not.
I don't understand conversions and wondered if my older version which does a great job in all other areas of my needs does not do this, is there a program that does that is outrageously priced?
I won't be using the program a lot, simply for small gifts.

Nerovision express should be able to do it, if it's included in your nero version. Or else can you use free DVD slideshow GUI together with dvdauthorgui,guifordvdauthor.

Baldrick is right. Unless you want to get extremely creative, and wish for a more automated program. I use ProShow - due to it's ease of use. earlier versions were buggy, but that seems to have been fixed. The cost of ownership hasn't, and it's not free.

Well feeling a little stupid here, I checked my Programs under Nero 6 Ultra Edition and I use vers. 6.6.0.18 and found:
Nero Back It Up
Nero Burning Rom
Nero Cover designer
Nero Express
Nero Image Drive
Nero Sound Trax
Nero Wave Editor
I went in and did checks on the above and could not find any Nero Vision Express and so I went into "Search" Nero Vision Express and found nothing ????

Am I missing something here and not looking in the right area?

Nero 6 needs different packages. Just go to the Nero download page. Download the package with the programs you´re missing.

Also: check if your DVD standalone player can show jpg. So he could maybe read your original CD. Many can.

yes it does read my cd-r disc with the pics that I want to make into a Slide Show. I didn't know that there are packages that complement the CD that I bought??? and installed for Nero Ultra Ed 6. I will have to snoop around then for this Express Vision app.
I am wondering if the program is now too old to get this update????
I have never done this before, so I thought I should ask as vers 7 is out and I think 8??

Hi, I did do some googling and see that there were some updates to Ultra 6 Edition:
http://www.gtpcc.org/gtpcc/neroultra.htm. Now this Link does not seem to work??? Maybe dated, though I found it through Google.

However I am a little confused as there is mention about the updates and a 90 deadline to install and then mention of the US customers?
Or maybe I did not read that properly.

I am not quite certain what to do at this point. All I know is that I still really like the 6.6.0.18 version of the Ultra, it does a good job, but it certainly would be great to have that Express Vision to do my Slide Show.

I hope to hear comments from anyone that has the time.
