is there a way or a hack that can be used to play a divx file or avi on this recorder.it says it play divx vod . i have some divxmovies files on dvds i would like to use without converting them to vobs. thanks for any help yuo can give ms on this. xbill

Your question is a bit confusing; vod is not vob. VOD = video on demand. VOB are used in a DVD file structure.
A quick google search turns up specs on your player, and it is indeed Divx ready. So, as long as you have Divx movies encoded with parameters that comply with the expectations of that recorder, you'll be able to watch them on that player. No need to convert such compliant Divx movies into DVD. -
it says to watch divx files i have to go to divx. com/vod, pay for and dl files, then they give you code to put in to player so you can watch it. i don.t want to do that ,just play the ones i have. when i put 1 of my divx files that i have put on a disk it shows up ,but when i press play it will not load.no error or any thing shows up.they are avi , thanks
