  1. Hi There

I used to be able to play AVI video and show its subtitles. But after I install a program call MPCStar, it automatically change all movie files ext to MPC programs.
I then uninstall the MPCStar cos i dont need it anymore.

I then open my avi files using media player and K-Lite decoder as well, but the subtitles is GONE! Of course I have the srt files (same file name as movie files) with all the AVI movies I tried to open, but NONE of them shows subtitles.

This happen right after I install MPCStar, so I very much suspect it corrupted my files.

    Any help?

I'm assuming you mean you're using Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPCHC). If so, dump (if you possibly can) the K-lite garbage.

For playback, all you need is MPCHC with its built in codecs.
    Have a good one,

  3. MPC and MPCHC: View -> Options -> Playback -> Output -> DirectShow Video: choose one of the options with two stars. And read the note at the bottom of the dialog.

  4. The files are likely just fine. Probably just isn't auto-loading the subtitles when you open the video file. That's an option you should be able to set in your media player.
