File Format Not recognized - Using MagicISo/gBurner

Hi

I have a GIF File I tring to convert.

I have tried using MagicISo and gBurner. But it is coming up invalid. I have run file through GSopt. File Type. Unkown

Could the file be broken?

If not. Is there any other way of checking what file format it is.

A gif file???? A .gif file is usually a picture...

Is the extension .gif?

If it is a GIF file then it's a bitmap image file and not a video file.
You can convert the GIF file to another bitmap image format using
IrfanView or FastStone Image Viewer

It's not a true .GIF - GSpot will recognize true .GIF and .JPG files (not sure about the other regular image file types, offhand). Sounds like someone's changed the extension to .gif.

Teac23: Do you have any archiving software, like WinRAR or 7-Zip? What happens if you change the extension to .ISO, and try to open the file in those programs... or, say, ISOBuster?

Edit: Hmm... I happened to have a Linux LiveCD .ISO handy, so I tried running it through GSpot, both with the filename unchanged and the extension changed to .GIF. Both times, GSpot said it was an 'unknown format' but also had a "CD image" line.
