    Hi,

I tried using FAVC today. Tried burning an AVI file, however, I am encountering an error which says:

"unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quit, the application will close immediately.

An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. "

I wonder if anyone knows a solution to this error, I believe AVI file is a file that FAVC supports.

    Thanks for the replies.

Do you have .net 2.0 installed? FAVC requires it and that could be the problem with your error.

Have you installed .net framework and avisynth?
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15...displaylang=en
    http://downloads.sourceforge.net/avisynth2/Avisynth_257.exe?use_mirror=dfn

If that wont help then give us more information,
Exactly when do you receive this error?
What video and audio codec in the avi? Identify with gspot.

    Hi,

yes I have installed .net framework and avisynth.

I receive the error when I hit the button that will convert .AVI to DVD movie (?).

I am at work now, I will provide the codecs once I get home.

    Thanks for the replies.

I'm experiencing the same error. I've tried it with several AVi files now, and its always a no go. I'm runnin vista, and installed avisynth and my OS says that .net framework is already installed. Definitely a head scratcher.

I'm trying to burn gangs of new york to DVD, its a 700MB avi and the audio codec is MPEG-1 Layer 3 and video codec is XviD MPEG-4

Are you using 64 bit Windows?

One of the biggest problems with 64 bit is that 64 bit binaries can't call 32 bit libraries and vice versa. FAVC 1.07 was released with the 32 bit version of MediaInfo.DLL in it, so when FAVC tries to call it it dies. If you have 64 bit Windows, go get the 64 bit version of mediainfo.dll, copy it into the MediaInfo folder in FAVC, and see if that fixes it.

  7. Hi Gyruss,

Where did you find the 64-bit MediaInfo ... could you please post the link!?!?

    THANKS!

  8. EDIT:

    Hi Baldrick,

I must have been typing away when you posted your link ... THANKS!

    Bladrick,

OK ... I exchanged the MediaInfo.dll and placed the 64-bit one in FAVC 1.06. At least now the application starts but ... each time it stops on pop-up "cmd.exe" window and when I cancel it then runs and creates the Video and Audio files but does not make the DVD Format files ... vob and such!

BTW, I am using a Sample clip of 4MB size so my CPU won't just sit there and crank up ...

Q: Do you think the small file might be contributing factor?

    Thanks,

    G!

Thank you very much. I'm running Window7 RC1 64 bit and that did the trick
