I just recorded my first "Blu-ray" DVD from an MKV file since upgrading Imageburn.
There were no errors reported by the software, yet when I played it on my Panasonic BD player, it said "not supported". Never got that with the previous Imageburn version.
I know settings are lost when upgrading, did set profile level to 4.1, UDF 2.50, and checked Recurse Subdirectories.
Am I missing something, any clues?

You could go backwards and use the previous version, since that version worked for you.

Do you think it's best to do a system restore or uninstall 2.4.40 and look for the previous version?

Just uninstall and reinstall the older version.
I actually went back to 2.4.2.0 because when 2.4.3.0 was released there were quite a few bugs, a couple i had were not even mentioned and when i tried to post them on the official site it would not let me.
I also had a couple of things happen on 2.4.4.0 that annoyed me more then any problems with it burning and 2.4.2.0 still works just fine and i never had any problems with it so..... -
this is not an imgburn problem...if you sent the proper folders to imgburn it will burn bluray fine....this version works perfectly as I have tried it. It is your player. you need to research if your player supports video on bd-r....most players DO NOT play video on bd-r. You need to check this first...what is the model

Thanks guys, will go back to previous version and try again. Dv8, It's actually a DVD-R with AVCHD I'm burning. My standalone player is a Panasonic BD-55.

This could either be bad discs or your optical drive. The lens might be dirty or the laser might be going out. Try different discs first.

Ok I replaced the DVD drive and don't get an error now during recording. But same problem "unsupported" when played on my standalone player.
All I do is open Imageburn, add BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders, ensure it's set to UDF 2.50, Recurse Subdirectories checked, and burn. No errors reported by Imageburn.
Strange thing is it's the same routine I used to follow up until a few days ago, and worked fine on my player.
I installed MeGUI and Mediaoinfo ever since, I don't suppose that would matter. Those are all the changes to my PC before this problem started.
