    Hi everybody.
I buy this LD writer to make some Lightscribe disks but I can't.
It's the unic PATA drive in my computer (all others are SATA)
It's in primary master. Cable and jumper are ok to master.
And none of the 2 types of CDR LS I try is reconized (Imation, Verbatim)
The LS utility checker tell me all drivers and unit are ok.
I don't know what to do more!!!!
    Help please

Maybe it's a firmware problem, check if you have the latest firmware available, see this site and click on the Drivers and Software tab.

Just realized you are in Spain, use the global site and choose your location.

    Thaks Safesurfer
The firmware it's the last from lge.com (ver. 1.03)
English is not a problem to read for me (to write... ...it's not the same)

The link refers to the GH20LS10 the writer is a GH22LP20 (sorry, link not found) and the codes of firmwares aren't the same.

    Thanks.

Sorry about that, I keyed in the right number but didn't notice that the wrong model number came up!

Only other thing I can think of is to update the Lightscribe System software.

    http://www.lightscribe.com/downloadsection/Windows/index.aspx?id=810

If that doesn't work, perhaps you just won't be able to use those brand (or speed) disks with the drive.

Yes. LS it's in the last version.
Finaly I returned the writer to the store and will buy a SATA unit.
    Probably the GH22LS30.
We gonna see how it goes.
