I'm converting from a 20,000 kbps .wmv9 clip to mpeg4 and I was just wondering what bitrate I should encode at to be as close to lossless as possible. Thanks.

	What MPEG4? Layer 2 (Divx/Xvid) or layer 10 (h.264/AVC)? Guessing the latter:

Bitrate? Impossible to say. Use CRF encoding and select the quality you want (lower quantizer -> higher quality). Each frame will get the bitrate it needs to deliver that quality.

x264 has a true lossless mode. Your files will get very big though.
