  1. I made a 14 minute DV project in VS 6. I saved it in a AVI file. When I go to export it to my Sony TRV 130 Camcorder it will record the project then all of a sudden a blue screen will appear on the LCD screen on the camcorder. I can still hear audio, the blue screen will dissapear after a second or so and then I can see the project again, all of the while my recording light is showing on the LCD screen. I tried through VS 6 to manually record same thing, I tried to record from the time line same thing. I even put on VS 5 same thing. I captured from my camera to VS6 with no problem. I converted the AVI with TMPg to a Mpg 2 with no problem, I just cannot get it out to my camera. Could it be the firewire card? it captures but the output is broken up some how. I even used a brand new firewire cable and the one that came with my Intek 21 firewire card. Windows shows everything is OK with the firewire card. I even changed the PCI slot of the firewire card with no luck. A tech from Best Buy said its either my camera or computer. I can play the project with no problems through VS 6 and ATI MMC 7.2. Any ideas? Could it be the firewire card? I did a project in December with VS 5 and it exported fine to the same camera. AMD 1.2 ghz, 1,024 megs PC 133, ATI AIW Pro, Windows XP NTFS, plenty of HD space. Thanks.

  2. Also I installed Pinnacle Studio 7 and I tried to open the AVI file and I got a message that the AVI file was not compressed properly and Pinnacle would not open it. I was going to try to export from Studio 7 to my Camcorder. The AVI file was made in VS 6.

  3. I found the problem it was my Logitech Optical Cordless Mouse. I had it attached to my USB port, I then moved it to my PS/2 port and I then could export my files to my Sony D8 Camcorder. The only thing is I now have seven devices sharing IRQ 11. I just moved the mouse and all of the IRQs changed.
