I have a lcd problem with my sony camcorder. Today i turned it on to watch some hi8 tapes and the lcd aint working when its facing me. When i flip it over it works. I tried the reset and nothing. This has happened before. I did contact sony the first time and they told me to reset it and it didn't help this time. Any help would be great.

  2. Most likely it is because of a microswitch just inside the LCD housing near the hinge. Usually with a small cross-headed precision screwdriver you can take the housing off and look to see if there is a switch.

  5. Perhaps the liquid got inside the microswitch and has eventually "gunked up" the innards of the switch.
