    hey guys,

    how can i make rar files from a mpeg. When i do this, i get the rar files but no exe file.......what do i wrong??????
    which options do i have to use in winrar???

    Read the help file that comes with winrar; it explains it well.

    here's What I do.
    with winrar installed, right click on file to compress it. select "add to archive". the options I choose are.
    -split to volumes 15,000,000 bytes
    -i use "old style volumes"
    -if you want an .exe file instead of .rar, select sfx archive.
    that should be all
    i also check;
    -put recovery record
    -put authenticity verification
    not sure what they do, so i check em anyway!'
    hope that helped. of course if you only want one big rar file, ignore the split to volumes.
