Hi everyone, I just bought a PS3 this year. Got the $150 back when signed up for the Sony card so its a relatively new system (4 months old or so). This has happened TWICE, where I turn on the console and I hear audio, but no video. If I do a hard reset, then it works fine. I wonder if it is just a HDMI cord (from monoprice.com) or has anyone heard of these problems?
thanks!

Sometimes when it is first booting up or booting to a PS2 or PS1 game mine does the same thing, but the video does come back after a few seconds on mine.
I too have a "cheap" HDMI cable (RadioShack)..."To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." - Steven Wright
