Hello, newbie here. I'm just interested in knowing something about Mpeg video wizard. Let's say I import a vob file and press Export to save, default is mpeg-2 dvd compliant. Now, what is really happening here, does Wizard convert the vob file or does it extract the file? I need to know because I don't want to make the vob file even more lossy than it already is.

It doesn't matter why I would do this, it's a long story.

    Thanks in advance!

It shouldn't reconvert if you haven't add any transitions or changing resolution or framerate.

You can also use VOB2MPG to do the same thing, although if you already have Womble you may as well use it.

Thanks guys. VOB2MPG is part of the long story I didn't wanna go through. I always use VOB2MPG (time issue) but this time it wouldn't work. Maybe I should have asked if VOB2MPG is equal to 'Export' in wizard..,..Anyways, Seems like I don't have to worry about the file being converted then. I couldn't really tell any difference between the original vob and the exported mpeg, so I guess it should be fine. Yet the feeling of 'conversion' gives me the creeps...
