I used both aTubeCatcher and AVStoDVD to burn DVDs today, and my hard drive space has dropped by about 8gigs.

    I need the space.

I've tried using disc cleanup (Windows XP Pro) and cleared out my Temp folder as well, but the 8gigs are still not available.

Can someone tell me where to find the files that didn't get deleted when the two projects were done?

    Please help.

Have you tried search for files created today?

I didn't know that was possible.

How do I check for files created today?

In windows 7 you just open Windows explorer, select Computer, hit F3 and type datemodified: or click on the Add search filter: Date modified.

For win xp it : http://uis.georgetown.edu/software/documentation/winxp/winxp.search.html

Actually, I have Windows XP, but in the regular search window (which I've never used before) there was an option for "today".

There were two video files in "My Videos" that shouldn't have been there.

They're gone now, and the space has been restored.

    Thanks Baldrick.

  7. This is what I have detected using the following stack:

    - aTube Catcher 3.8.8007 - Studio Suite - DsNET Corp. 2014
    - Windows 8
    - Sony Vaio

aTube Catcher creates his temporary files under c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp

where it first creates a folder named "DVD" followed by a 10 digit random decimal number.
In this folder it creates an mpeg conversion of the movie that you want to publish on the DVD.
When the mpeg conversion is complete, it creates a nested folder DVDIMAGE\VIDEO_TS containing all of the components required by the DVD format.
The last phase is the DVD writing.
    Attention:
At the end it does not remove the temporary files, so you have to manually delete them in order to recover disk space.

    hope this helps.
