Hi, I am having a problem with the DVDs i make using ffmpegX from avi files. The audio and picture is fine, but, my dvd player does not allow me to scan/fast forward through the DVD, just lets me pause it. is there any setting i can use or select to allow me to do this, Visual Hub never seemed to have any of these problems. thanks!!

Sometimes this behavior is a symptom of timecode breaks. If the original avi, for example, was the result of splicing together separate clips, this problem can arise.
If that's it, the solution is to take the mpeg stream, fix the timecode breaks (using, e.g., MPEG Streamclip; you'll need the Apple MPEG2 component), then reauthor and burn.
