In converting an AVI to VCD ready MPG with TMPEGEnc, the audio in the converted file is jittery with clcks and pops....how do I fix this? Also, can anyone tell me why I can't load in some MPG files into TMPEGEnc without it hanging? Thanks for replying and helping. :)

  2. What are the details of the AVI file? What format is the audio track in? what sampling rate? what bitrate? etc, etc.

You can find the properties of your .AVI file using Virtualdub or Soundforge. Don't let TMPEGnc convert your audio from one type to another! Use a sound editor program (I use Sound Forge to do this),
