Hi all, sorry if this is in the wrong section.
This has so far only happened with one particular movie, "Out of Africa". It has occured in rips from two DVDs of the movie, so I know this isn't caused by a damaged DVD.
When I rip the DVD to ISO, then burn to a blank DVD, I hear pops and clicks in the main movie when playing it in WMP or jetAudio... but NOT when I play it in PowerDVD. The trailers and extra features are not affected, they play fine.
The pop/clicks occur whether I mount the ISO to a virtual drive via Alcohol 120% or if I make a physical copy to a blank DVD disk. This problem has occured with rips using DVDFab or CloneDVD.
Any ideas why WMP and jetAudio are having this problem, but not PowerDVD? I've ripped many other DVDs before and since Out of Africa, with no problems.
Thanks!

I don't know about jetAudio, but WMP isn't much of a player. About all I could suggest is to check the audio with Gspot 2.70 or similar and see what the audio attributes are, then compare them with other DVDs that worked. I would suspect a out of spec audio file.
And it could be something about AC3 5.1 audio and bad conversions by the player software to stereo.
