  1. When I plug in my USB it seems to load--makes the same sound as if I loaded my USB stick-- but doesn't show up under my computer.

Works on my laptop and another desktop.

No yellow exclamation points under USB.

Was told to delete all usb drivers and restart. Need help.

    Thanks

We need a few details about the affected system such as operating system and service packs installed.

    General:

A: Go into Device Manager and expand the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" group.
B: Uninstall every device listed under this group (right click on device, left click uninstall)
    C: Remove this group
    D: Restart Computer
E: Upon restart the computer will recognize all the devices and install them.
F: Plug in the device and see if it works.

Recommended: Last known updated drivers for motherboard to be installed

Check the drive is not USB and Firewire. Ifso, there should be a switch, and it is set to Firewire not USB. That's the way my Plextor PX-716UF is.

Not just a driver letter conflict maybe? Right-click MY COMPUTER, select MANAGE. Click on DISK MANAGEMENT & see if the drive is present IN THE BOTTOM LIST. If so, right-click the partition (the part to the right of the drive "button") and select CHANGE DRIVE LETTER. Add a letter (if missing) or change the letter (if conflicting) and you should be right.

I have one of these and sometimes it just takes a while for my computer to see the USB drive.
