I'm done with about a 9 month project of converting all my old VHS tapes over to Digital Video and sending hundreds of emails and Facebook postings of video clips and making about 50 DVDs. The Canopus did a great job, and I highly recommend going this route.
I've also got a Panasonic VCR/DVD combo Unit DMZ-EZ47V I'll sell cheap if you want to go the VHS to DVD route. It is also in excellent condition. $100 for either unit.
I'll email you a video clip to show how well this Canopus unit works if you want. I used a JVC HR-S9600U VCR to feed the audio/video to the Canopus unit. That VCR is one of the best for the clearest picture IMHO.

I just saw this and I'm in the Seattle area. I think this would've been the perfect solution for me now that my LiteOn LVW-5005 no longer accepts recordable media.
If you happen to see my post, would you mind answering a couple questions about using the Canopus ADVC 110?
