    the show i recorded on my dvd recorder/player from my dvr will not play on my pc or other dvd players. does anyone know the reason for this or have any solutions?

    Finalize the DVD in your recorder.

    Check the user manual. Recorders typically have two recording modes (VR & video), plus the discs also need to be finalized (as noted above) for use in other players.
