  1. i encoded a divx4.12 file into a mpeg-1 file by using the VCD Template(Pal). Now my mpeg-1 file is about 1 Gbyte with no sound. Then i started Virtual Dub and checked the mpeg-1 file and it indicated:

Audio: 224 kbs, Layer 2, Stereo
    Video: 1150 kbit, 352x255, 25fps

i don't know how to solve the problem, please help me...

try using virtualdub to convert the audio from the divx to a wav file, then load the wav file as the audio source in tmpgenc, use the divx as the video source, then encode your mpeg movie.

or if u still have ur mpeg file with no sound, then just encode a 224kbs 44100hz mp2 stream out of the wav file with tmpgenc then mux the mp2 audio with the mpeg video.
