  1. I have a Pioneer dv-434. macrovision is still enabled, and i cant watch my dvds on my old tv because it only takes rf. i dont really want to have an rf switch in the back, so i would like to hook my dvd up to my vcr, and then out to my tv. the only problem is macrovision. can anyone help me to get rid of it? thanks.

  2. Have you tried going through the VCR yet, or are you assuming the Macrovision will be a problem... Some VCR's will ignore the Macrovision - I don't know if this is more prevalent in older VCR's, but both of mine (around 5-7 years old) have no problems with allowing the DVD stream through.

As far as I know, the only way to disable Macrovision on the Pioneer units is to have them chipped.
