  1. VCD SCREEN SIZE (RESOLUTION)
    Are there any other sizes that you can make VCD movies at other than
    pal-352x288
    ntsc-352x240

  2. Not and still be fully compliant with the standard. If you use a non-standard resolution or bit-rate, you're creating an XVCD not a VCD. Your odds of finding a player that supports non-standard discs are much lower than finding one that plays standard VCDs.

  3. I'm not sure about much lower. Most stand alones and all PCs will play xVCDs. Popular resolutions enclude: 352x240, 352x480, 480x480 and 720x480.

    352x480 or 480x480 is enough, 720x480 is over kill and at low bit rates actually looks worst.

  4. Most stand-alone VCD players and CD-i players (i.e., original equipment designed to play VCDs) will probably not play non-standard framesizes.
