    i have a dvd when i try 2 rip with smartripper 2.41 it says files are locked how u get by that???

    When Smart Ripper loads, it searches for ASPI, does it find it in your case ?
    without the ASPI it makes it more difficult for Smart Ripper to accuratly copy the DVD files.

    Did you unlock the drive by first playing a couple of chapters of the dvd, you must play it and get past all the crap at the start and actually into the movie for a few seconds, then close your player and start smartripper, should be unlocked then, if it doesn't then as sefy says you are missing your aspi drivers, you can download and run force aspi to enable then.
