FAVC is Unable to process the following - Error

I am using FAVC 1.07 now on a Vista 64 pc and get this error when I try to run an AVI file:


FAVC is Unable to process the following files: D:\mystuff\Trip12-2-08.avi

It says this is generally an issue with Avisynth not being install (2.56a or grater) or corresponding codec is not installed. And I can create a Acisynth script myself and open it in FAVC. "I do not know how to do this"

I do have AviSynth_257 installed also.

Can someone please help.

Open notepad and type the following

AVISource("D:\mystuff\Trip12-2-08.avi")

Save it as myvids.avs

Open it in Virtualdub and make sure it plays.
