    Hi,

I have a DVD car player that play only 'zone 1' and 'all zones'. How can i write a DVD for zone 1? What program can i use (and what settings)?

    Thank you.

  2. Usually 'home made' DVDs are created as region free. Therefore it should be no problem with any authoring program.

Probably not, although we have a long list of posts that begin "I downloaded a DVD and now it won't burn/play/function . . . ", so be careful before you waste your time and bandwidth.

You need to be aware that "Zone 1 and all zones" may possibly mean "NTSC ONLY". I live in the USA and almost all of the manufacturers that sell electronics here seem to think that we have no need to play PAL video. You'll have to rip a PAL DVD and burn it and see if it plays or not.

Any DVDs you make yourself should not have region coding. If you rip a DVD and burn it to a new disc, it should not have region coding. It is almost impossible for consumers to create a DVD with region coding on it, so don't worry about that. I agree with guns1inger that anything can happen when you download videos, so there is always the possibility with a downloaded DVD that it might still have region coding on it although most of them will not.
