OK here's my problem.
My veiwer has a giant X through it. The "X" allows me to move the video and
change the size of the video that I am veiwing but I can't pull down the video
to the timeline.
Here's how it happened.
I was attempting to type something in the text, however I was not paying attention
and I never swithed to the control tab and typed into the video tab. Then I looked up
and saw the big white "X".
So I tried to get rid of it, and bring the veiwer back to normal but I have no clue
how to do it. The "X" remains even after a restart.
Any help would be great.

create a new sequence.
drag a working piece of video into the timeline.
Play it or scrub through it.
does the problem still persist?
if so, time to go to FCP Rescue.
If not, then go back to your original sequence,
and remove the last piece or two of placed footage from the timeline,
and re-put the footage back one at a time. if the error occurs again,
you found a bad piece of video, recreate it."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

Thanks, I figured out that I somehow clicked Wire + Frame and that is what
messed everything up. Thanks for your time. -
