I've used AnyDVD-HD to rip BD movies to HDD. I've chosen the "folders" version method. First 2 movies I've ripped were good. I go to the stream folder and play the .m2ts files. However when I got to my third movie the audio was not in English so I came here and found a solution by ripping ISO method, mounting with Virtual CloneDrive and playing with PowerDVD 8.

Now I wanted to get the file size smaller so I used tsMuxer and created a single .m2ts of a BD movie. However playback is unsuccessful. In PowerDVD 8 I can open it as a file but it doesn't play, even makes PowerDVD 8 very slow. In Nero Showtime 9 half of the time it will only play the video but no audio. Arcsoft TotalMedia Theater also only plays the video. However I can use tsMuxer, choose create Blu-ray, place folders in an ISO, mount with Virtual CloneDrive and playback is successful.

What gives? .m2ts by itself won't play but when made blu-ray and ISO'ed it plays. I need .m2ts because I use my laptop connected to the HDTV and it can play .m2ts but not blu-ray spec since it's integrated videocard is not blu-ray supported.

I use VLC Media Player 0.9.4 to check the ripped .m2ts files and it seems to work fine. It will also play most ISO formats, but I've never tried that with a Blu-ray rip.

    And welcome to our forums.
