    Have not been here in awhile but I could use some advise.

    I had to reinstall my software on my computer. In the past the MyDVD Studio Deluxe version 6 by Sonic has worked. Now I must be missing an upgrade or patch because I get error messages and sometimes the VHS capture will not burn to the DVD. I am fed up with Help from Roxie who now you have to go to for help.

    I have read many complaints about Roxie’s new software that I was considering to replace my older software.

    I have Windows XP and ample harddive capacity. Software I have besides the MyDVD mentioned above is as follows;
    Windows Movie Maker
    Adobe Creative Suite Premium CS2 that has various programs. I do not use most of them or as yet learned many of them.
    Nero DVD burning software
    Canopus capture card; do not recall the model number.

    Can any of the above be used without purchasing another VHS to DVD software. I really liked the MyDVD because it was easy to use but the time to capture and burn is not desirable. Now the error messages and not burning at times is getting on my nerves.

    I have not tried any other software I currently have and do not know if additional software will be required. I am converting my VHS movies to DVD and have done many but it is slow and I have many more VHS movies to do.

    Can anyone advise me on what I need or software that will work better than MyDVD besides Roxie’s products?

    If there is an upgrade or patch I need for MyDVD Studio Deluxe V6 please tell me where I can find it. Roxie’s site and patches do not help.

    Thanks for your help and advise.

    Can you output the DVD-Video to the HDD in MyDVD 6? If so then can you burn with something else like Imgburn, just choose to create a data dvd and add the VIDEO_TS folder(or if MyDVD can create ISO then open the ISO in ImgBurn).
