Ok, I know this must seem like a stupid question, and I've burned hundreds of ISOs on PC. I have Toast. Every time I try to burn an ISO, it does just that.. burns the ISO file to a disk. How do I burn it with Toast so that I can actually access the contents of the file? This has been driving me crazy and Ive had to resort to doing it on my pc. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies guys. No idea why it seemed so complicated. I'll look into both options you mentioned.

Toast will do what you want if you use Copy > use Image File > Burn.

  6. The quickest way to burn an ISO disc on a Mac is to double-click on the iso disc's icon. The Mac will display a 'virtual' folder on the desktop. In that folder, if the DVD was properly authored, usually both a VIDEO_TS folder and an AUDIO_TS folder, just like a normal DVD's content.

I would tend to copy the iso disc to your hard drive first, so that the Mac handle's the copying process of the 'virtual' content from copies on the hard drive, not source files being drawn out of media in the dvd/cd disc drive. Copying the ISO disc to the hard drive to become an ISO folder might take a minute or ten, the creation of the 'virtual' folder is virtually instantaneous.

Toast will burn the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to a blank DVD, using the DVD-ROM (UDF) format under the Data icon in Toast's burn window.
