aiw v-dub capture problem please help!

having deviated from the software i got with the card and messed about with other multimedia centres, I now find i cant capture with v-dub or winvcd because the error message "cant initiate capture card becase it is in use by another device, try switching off tv for windows..ect ect"

Plaese can anyone give me advice on this as its got my pants down in a big way - many thanks in advance

I've run into this a number of times on XP and w2k.
the only answer was to uninstall and reinstall the video drivers
and mmc. sometimes it would work if I just rebooted.

however, I surmise that you are not using an AIW 128 on w2k or
XP like me since you are able to capture with vdub.
I can't do that (yet).

In order to get VirtualDub Capture to work properly you need to load what is called WRAPPER, here is the link (it was on this site to the left under Capture Cards). After you unzip, left click on the INF file and install, VDub should now work
