    i have MEMOREX DVD-R and SONY DVD+R
    what is the best brand to burn movies to ?

    Verbatim or TY. Of the two you are stuck with, toss the memorex in the bin, try the Sony, then go out an buy verbatim or TYs.

    Use Imgburn to actually do the burning.

    yea everytime i burn with memorex for some reason theirs parts were colorful squares come out..
    recently i burn an encoded .avi with nero burning using my SONY DVD+R it was flawlessly excellent with no problems at all...

    thanks will go out and buy Verbatim or TY..

    I've never had a problem burning AVI as data DVDs on cheap media (I've only tried Ritek and Ridata though). I did run into a problem burning AVI to Sony CD-Rs.

    Burning a VOB to cheap DVD media is another story. Every single one of the Ritek and Ridata were coasters (about 28 of them).
