  1. I have a video in two separated parts, one has more quality, than the other, when i play them, in power dvd, it looks like the better video, has a higher bass, and the other has it lower., what I menaged to feel, is that the higher quality one, has a feeling, that the sound is much more live, than on the other. the thing is, that i don't really know how to check, and understand, what is exactley different and what do I need to boost, I wonder if there is a prog. that can help?

Use Gspot on each file ,and post a screenshot of both here...or at least post the details/specs of each file...

AC3 and MP2 are both lossy formats..I prefer AC3 ,however as far as what is best or sounds better, only you can tell the difference...Perhaps the mp2 in the 2nd video sample should have been encoded using a higher bitrate 256~384Kbps...Frankly I would have used a higher bitrate for the AC3 file as well...

I'm not an audio expert but, you might be able to use some filters in an audio editing app to improve it somewhat..However you can't get back what's already lost....In other words you won't get a higher quality audio file going from 192Kbps to 384Kbps..You'll just get a bigger file size....You need the original source files and re-encode using a higher bitrate from the get go...

This a good (if not the best) audio site....

  8. What is the original source audio?

If you already have a lossy source, and re-encode/filter to another lossy source, it usually gets worse, not better...

Sometimes you can filter out or enhance something specific, but without describing it properly, everyone is just guessing. It might help to post a small sample
