I have real alternative & klite codecs. I am able to play most mov's in my wmp, which I need since I have a plugin for fast viewing in wmp.

These particular mov's I have only give audio.

I tried super convert and it didn't convert any video and tried all the other options as mpg, wmv etc etc.

Can anyone suggest a good, preferably free batch mov to xvid / avi converter?

I used to have one long ago, can't find, I'm unsure if it was xilisoft.

Many packages advertize the capability but many often don't deliver for certain peculiar files, please suggest. Thanks.

To start with, get the klite codec pack out

Mov to avi : MP4Cam2AVI (gets you from point a to point B)

Then you can use any other product to finish the conversion

Try winff. If it wont work then try mpeg streamclip(don't know if it has any batch capabilites though).

winff worked on 1 of 2 mov video sets, decent speed & size.
mpeg streamclip worked but the output size was 5x larger.

    mp4cam2avi didnt even run.

btw, I did find both the programs I used to use some years ago for converting. Alo & xilisoft. Alo gave an unsupported format as winff did for the 1 set that didn't convert. but YES!!!! xilisoft did convert the mov the others couldn't!!! GREAT!!!
